 The readings assigned this week (1.12 & 1.13) dealt with negotiation ethics. Relatedly, in class we talked about our individual comfort with various behaviors linked with negotiation and bargaining. For this week's blogging assignment, please offer your personal philosophical perspective on negotiation ethics. In other words, in a paragraph or two, explain what behaviors you believe ethical and what behaviors you believe unethical to use in a negotiation. You might use the ethical paradigms described in the readings to frame your discussion. Or the results of the Incidents in Negotiation Questionnaire that we discussed in class.

 I think negotiation ethics has be honest and fair. Without it being this way, there is no trust being built and I dont believe you can come to a fair agreement without trust. There needs to be a level of mutual respect for both parties going into negotiations, regardless of how you negotiate and what you want. Following a utilitarian approach would give us the idea that we go into these negotiations wanting the best outcome for both by creating long term relationships.
